PEARL, MS -- Atlanta Braves outfielder Joey Terdoslavich will join the Mississippi Braves, transferring his Major League rehab assignment to Double-A Mississippi from High-A Carolina Wednesday, June 3 through Friday, June 5.

Terdoslavich began the 2015 season on the Atlanta Braves 15-day disabled list with a left wrist sprain, retroactive to April 2. He began his rehab assignment at Low-A Rome on May 25. In three games with the Rome Braves, Terdoslavich posted a .385 batting average with one double and two RBI. He moved to Carolina May 29. With the Mudcats, Terdoslavich hit .231 with two doubles and two RBI in five games.

A native of Sarasota, FL, Terdoslavich was selected by the Braves in the sixth round of the 2010 draft. He made his Major League debut on July 4, 2013. Terdoslavich posted a .215 average in 55 games to finish out the season in the big leagues. He was named by the Braves organization as Gwinnett's 2013 Player of the Year after hitting .318 in 85 games.

Last season, the switch-hitting outfielder appeared in nine games with the A-Braves-hitting .300 with two doubles and two RBI after a September call-up. Terdoslavich spent the majority of the 2014 season at Triple-A Gwinnett where he averaged .256 with 18 doubles, a triple, 15 home runs and 61 RBI in 136 games. He tied for the International League lead in games played.

Terdoslavich spent time with the Mississippi Braves in 2012. He appeared in 78 games with the M-Braves that season, posting a .315 mark with 34 extra-base hits and 51 RBI.

The Mississippi Braves baseball team is the Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. Since making the move from Greenville, SC, in 2005, over 95 M-Braves have gone on to play in the big leagues. The M-Braves have made postseason play three times and went on to win the Southern League Championship in 2008. Tickets are on sale now.
