Vegas Hands Condors 4-2 Loss

Las Vegas, Nevada â Marc Magliarditi stopped 35 shots and Chris Kenady and Justin Kelly each had three points as Las Vegas beat the Condors 4-2 in front of a sellout crowd on Tuesday night at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
Vegas got on the board first in a back and fort opening frame. A turnover in the neutral zone brought Justin Kelly into the Condors end, where he found Greg Day in the slot for the first tally. It was Day's third goal of the year and seventh point, moving him into a tie for the ECHL point-scoring lead. Vegas led in shots 13-11 during the first.
The Condors had their opportunities during the middle frame, but their offensive silence continued to haunt them. They had a two-man advantage for over a minute, as well as a five minute major power play, which was negated by a penalty of their own. They could get nothing past Magliarditi. Instead, they slipped further behind, as Ryan Christie netted a power play goal and Justin Kelly scored late in the frame to lead it 3-0.
Quinn Fair helped the Condors heave a huge sigh of relief as he buried the team's first goal of the season at 2:26 of the third period. It ended a drought of 162:26 without a goal from the start of the season. Vegas answered a few minutes later with Chris Kenady's goal at 5:17. Johan Astom gave the Condors their second of the game less than two minutes later, but it's as close as they would get. Las Vegas picked up their second win of the year with the 4-2 score.
The Condors return home on Friday, October 24th to host the San Diego Gulls at 7:00pm.
