Bullies Seek to Shut Out Hunger

Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release


ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL, in conjunction with Community Food Bank of New Jersey will hold a Charity Canned Food Drive in honor of Make a Difference Day, prior to their home game at Boardwalk Hall on Saturday October 25 vs. The Long Beach Ice Dogs at 7:05. Bins from the Food Bank will be made available in the lobby of Boardwalk Hall for the donations.

Each person contributing to the cause will receive a free Blockbuster Movie coupon good for one free movie rental at the Absecon, Brigantine, Cardiff, Mays Landing and Somers Point Blockbuster locations

Evelyn Benton, Branch Director of the Community Food Bank of New Jersey commented, "Make A Difference Day is a way for everyone to get involved. Canned food donations have an immediate impact on a person's life. We are happy to be partnering with the Boardwalk Bullies for this effort.

Matthew Snyder, Public Relations Assistant with the Bullies added, "It is important for the Bullies as an organization to be aware of the needs of our community. Involving ourselves with the Food Bank is one way in which we can address those needs.
