
Wranglers Win 4-2 in Front of 7,208

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 4-2 win over Bakersfield in their first regular season game at the Orleans Arena. Las Vegas opened up to 7,208 at the Orleans with four different goal scorers. Greg Day, Chris Kenady, Ryan Christie, and Justin Kelly each scored in the win. Marc Magliarditi picked up his second win of the year stopping 35 Bakersfield shots. Kenady, Day and Kelly combined for eight points on the night. Las Vegas moves to 2-1-1 on the year. The Wranglers' host the Idaho Steelheads at 7:05 this Friday night.
The Wranglers got on the board first as Justin Kelly centered to the high slot for Greg Day. The Wranglers center wrested a shot past Condors' goalie Peter Hirsch for the 1-0 lead. In the second period Las Vegas would triple their lead. Newcomer Ryan Christie lifted a back hand shot under the cross bar just 6:50 into the second period. Garrett Bembridge and Dave Cousineau assisted on the power play goal. Moments later the Wranglers' would strike again. Kelly wrested one past Hirsch with just over one minute remaining in the middle period.
In the third period, Bakersfield would score their first goal of the year after going 160 minutes without a tally. Quinn Fair scored the first of two Condors' goals on the night trimming the Wranglers' lead to 3-1. Las Vegas' Chris Kenady tattooed a one-timer past Hirsch less than three minutes later for the 4-2 Wranglers' lead. Bakersfield's Johan Astrom would add a second Condors' goal later in the third for the final score of 4-2.
