Hockeydome to Open at SportsPlus

Cincinnati, OH-Beloved Cyclones mascot Twister will make an appearance on Saturday to welcome Hockeydome to SportsPlus. The local program for inline hockey debuts at SportsPlus this Saturday. The official ribbon cutting ceremony is set for 1 p.m. between youth league inline games.
Hockeydome moves to a new facility this fall after a remarkable growth in its first four years. The Hockeydome Inline program was founded in 1999. Within one year, the program had 188 participants (68 children and 120 adults). Today, the Hockeydome Inline program has over 600 members including 400 members under the age of 18.
Local clubs from Hockeydome have competed in several national tournaments as a part of the USA Hockey Inline organization. In 2003, Hockeydome's under-eight team won the NHL Rules National Championship.
