ITECH Hockey Named Official Visor of the ECHL

October 22, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL announced on Wednesday that it has signed a marketing agreement with ITECH Hockey to be the "Official Visor of the ECHL" for 2003-04. It was also announced that ITECH Hockey will return in 2003-04 as a Preferred On-Ice Supplier.

As part of its marketing partnership with the ECHL, ITECH Hockey will receive league-wide exposure through ECHL media and promotional materials and on the official web site of the ECHL at www.echl.com as the "Official Visor of the ECHL".

"In moving forward following the Board of Governors decision that all ECHL players wear protective visors, the ECHL is proud to team with ITECH Hockey, which has proven itself to be a leader in facial protection," said Glen Thornborough, ECHL Vice President of Sales/Marketing.

"ITECH Hockey is very proud of our new relationship with the ECHL. We applaud the efforts of the league to become the first professional North American hockey league to mandate the use of facial protection for all their players," said Randy Burns, ITECH Hockey Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "ITECH Hockey, as the industry leader in player and goalie head and facial protection, felt it was an obvious fit to partner with the league in order to help with the transition."

ITECH Hockey will sponsor the ITECH Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week and the ITECH Hockey ECHL Saver of the Year Award while also continuing its sponsorship of the Goaltender awards at the 2004 Par-A-Dice/ECHL All-Star Skills Competition on January 20 at the 9,919-seat Carver Arena at Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Ill.

ITECH Hockey provides exclusive player and goalie facial protection for the Canadian Hockey League, the Canadian Hockey Association and USA Hockey, and is the official goalie mask of the National Hockey League.
