Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release
Pensacola, Fla. The Pensacola Ice Pilots, under the new ownership group of Hockey Enterprises of Pensacola L.L.C. with the sole owner Tim Kerr, announced that forward Matt Elich and forward Aaron Davis have been waived.
Elich and Davis played in both games for the Ice Pilots last weekend. Elich scored a goal in the 4-3 win at Mississippi and picked up four penalty minutes. Davis had four shots on goal in the two games.
The Ice Pilots will play home games this Friday night vs. the Columbus Cottonmouths and this Saturday night vs. the Texas Wildcatters at 7:05 p.m. It will be the first ever meeting between the Ice Pilots and the new expansion Texas Wildcatters.
The Ice Pilots have a record of 1-1 after the first two games of the season. Columbus is 2-1 and Texas has a record of 1-2 and will play at Johnstown tonight and at Greensboro on Thursday.
