Utica Comets News Release
Utica, NY - The Utica Comets and Galaxy Media Partners have extended their broadcast partnership for six years, Comets president Robert Esche announced Monday.
In addition to all 76 regular season and playoff games broadcast on 94.9 KROCK, a new and extended 30-minute pregame show has been added to gameday coverage with hosts Rainman and Scoop.
A brand new piece of content for 2020 is the unveiling of the Trent Cull Show, airing Mondays from 6-7 p.m. on 96.5/1310/1350 ESPN Utica-Rome. The weekly show is hosted by Comets' play-by-play broadcaster Joe Roberts and will pull back the curtain on all things Utica Comets through the lens of head coach Trent Cull.
"We're very excited to continue our great partnership with Galaxy Media Partners," Esche said. "Utica Comets coverage is second to none in the American Hockey League and partners like Galaxy make that possible. We remain committed to providing the best coverage to our fanbase."
"Galaxy signed on as the Comets flagship radio partner long before the first puck was ever dropped," Galaxy president and CEO Ed Levine said. "We have watched as Rob Esche has built the Comets into something that all of us in this community are proud of. As Galaxy enters its 30th year of serving the Mohawk Valley, there is no better way to restate our commitment than extending this wonderful partnership."
Continuing into the new contract is Comets Insider with Rainman and Scoop, airing live on KROCK from 7-8 p.m. on Mondays from 72 Tavern and Grill.
