New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
Manchester, NH - The University of New Hampshire Men's Soccer Team will host its fourth annual pregame soccer clinic on the field at Delta Dental Stadium before the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) take on the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (New York Mets Double-A affiliate) on Thursday, August 22.
The soccer clinic will take place from 5 - 6 p.m., with first pitch of the Fisher Cats game scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Entry to the clinic can be purchased in a package with two game tickets for a total of $28 over the phone at (603) 641-2005 or by using promo code: 'soccer' at NHFisherCats.com/tickets.
Led by Head Coach Marc Hubbard, the UNH Wildcats are coming off an impressive 12-4-2 season featuring an America East Championship and a second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
The team will practice on the Delta Dental Stadium outfield from 12 - 2:30 p.m., and host the clinic from 5 - 6 p.m., followed by a brief autograph session for the clinic participants.
"As a program we look forward to getting into the central part of the state every single year. It helps to put our guys in front of some of our fans that might not get to see them in every game," said Coach Hubbard. "Coaching and inspiring children is a big part of what we do and this clinic is no different. In addition this event gets us in a new environment during the preseason to break up the monotony as well as gives us an opportunity to be on grass. We look forward to seeing everyone out in Manchester soon!"
"It's always a blast having Coach Hubbard and the Wildcats at the ballpark," said Fisher Cats General Manager Jim Flavin. "This is a fun and unique way for soccer fans to hone their skills, and learn from one of the most successful college soccer programs in the country."
The Fisher Cats game will feature a postgame Atlas Fireworks show and the music of Jimmy Buffett for Margaritaville Night.
The next Fisher Cats home game is on Friday, August 16 at 7:05 p.m. against the Portland Sea Dogs (Red Sox). Stick around after the game for a spectacular Atlas Fireworks show presented By Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over. For tickets and information, visit nhfishercats.com.
