Tyler Ludwig Named to All-CHL Team

March 24, 2014 - Central Hockey League (CHL) - Allen Americans News Release

Allen, Texas - The Central Hockey League announced their All-CHL Team today, and Allen Americans defenseman Tyler Ludwig was one of two blue-liners selected.

Ludwig is in his third year with the Allen Americans and currently having his best season as a pro. Ludwig leads all defensemen in the CHL in goals with 20, (a career high) and points 52. Andrew Martens, of Wichita, is second behind Ludwig in defensemen points with 47. His 52 points is also good enough for second overall on the Americans active roster, tied with forward Johnathan Lessard.

Tyler Ludwig is the twin brother of Americans defenseman, Trevor Ludwig. The native of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, spent the majority of his life in the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex playing his junior hockey with the Texas Tornado of the North American Hockey League. He is the son of former NHL blue-liner and Stanley Cup winning defenseman, Craig Ludwig.

Joining Tyler on this year's All-CHL Team are defenseman Matt Stephenson, Missouri; Forwards Garrett Bembridge and Troy Schwab of Denver, and Ben Gordon of Tulsa; and Goalie Shane Owen of Missouri .
