INDIANAPOLIS - Back-to-back two-out triples in the first inning set the tone for the Indians as they claimed their second straight win against first place Columbus, 4-1, on Tuesday at Victory Field.

Tyler Glasnow (3-1) worked six strong innings, allowing only one run on four hits and two walks while striking out five.

Ross Detwiler (0-2) was touched for three early runs, but settled in to keep the Tribe scoreless for his next three innings before departing.

The Indians (19-18) took an early lead in a wild first inning. With two outs, Josh Bell and Jason Rogers notched back-to-back triples ahead of three more base hits. Three runs would cross before the inning ended with Pedro Florimon caught at the plate trying to swipe home.

Indianapolis added a run in the fifth on singles from Adam Frazier, Bell, and Rogers. Frazier's knock extended his hitting streak to nine games - the longest for the team this season.

Columbus (23-15) cut into the Tribe lead with a run in the sixth. Erik Gonzalez chalked up a leadoff triple before scoring later in the frame.

The bullpen chipped in three scoreless innings to finish the day between AJ Schugel, Trey Haley, and Curtis Partch, who recorded his third save.

Game three of the four-game set is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at 1:35 p.m.
