IronPigs Try to Even Series with Chiefs

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will try to even the series with the Syracuse Chiefs on Tuesday night at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.

RHP Alec Asher (3-0, 0.40) gets the ball for the Pigs on Tuesday night. The right-hander got the win on Thursday at Columbus when he allowed one run on six hits while walking one and fanning five in 6.2 IP. Over 3 GS with the IronPigs this season, Asher has held righties to a .119 average (7-59).

LHP Aaron Laffey (3-0, 1.55) will toe the rubber for Syracuse opposite Asher. The southpaw got a no-decision on Wednesday vs. Indianapolis when he allowed a run on four hits to go along with four walks and six strikeouts in five innings of work. Back on April 20 at Syracuse, Laffey gave up five hits while fanning a pair over three shutout innings in a no-decision against the Pigs.

In his return to Lehigh Valley on Monday night, Pigs C Logan Moore had a pair of hits including a triple. The 25-year-old hit .276-1-13 over 42 games for manager Dave Brundage's squad in 2015. Moore began 2016 with Reading (AA) and hit .224-1-7 in 22 games.

Tuesday is Irish Heritage Night at Coca-Cola Park and there will be an Irish Dancer performance on the concourse from 6:15 to 6:30 p.m.
