Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons host the Toledo Mud Hens in the second game of a three-game series from Coca-Cola Field. (6:05 p.m.). Buffalo's 4-1 win last night gives them a 7-3 record over their last 10 contests. This seven-game homestand also includes a four-game series with Pawtucket that will begin on Thursday.

Last Game (BUF 4, TOL 1)

LHP Scott Diamond got 17 groundball outs and worked a Bisons' season-high 7.1 innings in a 4-1 win over Toledo. It was Diamond's fifth straight quality start. INF Jesus Montero had three hits, including a first-inning two-run home run, to lead the Bisons' offense.

vs. Toledo (1-0)

The Bisons and Mud Hens will meet six times this season, with a three-game series at Fifth Third Field from May 27-29. While the Herd holds the 88-80 record over Toledo in the modern era, it has been a back-and-forth rivalry. The last time either team won two straight in the matchup was a pair of Hens' victories, June 14-15, 2014.

Wade LeBlanc

LHP Wade LeBlanc is coming off back-to-back scoreless starts for the Herd. The veteran tossed seven zeroes on the scoreboard in a 2-1 Bisons' win over Syracuse on May 7 (6H, 6K). He then blanked the Bulls in Durham over 6.1 innings in Thursday's 3-0 win. LeBlanc has not allowed more than three runs in a start this season and has walked just eight of the 181 batters he's faced this year.

Pitching Prowess

In the last 10 games, Bisons' pitchers have posted a 0.93 ERA, with 89 strikeouts to only 68 hits allowed in 87.0 innings. The stretch has lowered the team's overall ERA from 12th best in the league (3.83) to now 3rd-best at 3.07 ERA. During the 10 games, Bisons relievers have posted a 0.33 ERA with just one earned run allowed in 27.2 innings.

OF Dalton Pompey has hit in eight straight games, with a .343 average (11-32) and six RBI since May 8...INF David Adams has hit in 11 of his last 12 games for a .419 average in his last 31 at-bats...INF Jesus Montero leads the Bisons in hits (41) and RBI (19).

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (19-21) were defeated by Tampa Bay last night, 13-2. The Rays scored 11 times in the first four innings, handing LHP J.A. Happ his first defeat of the season. RHP Dustin Antolin made his MLB debut and allowed three runs in a pair of relief innings. Game two of the three-game set from Rogers Centre is tonight at 7:07 p.m.
