Two Join Griffins' Staff

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Thursday announced the hiring of Kelli Szczepanski as a season ticket sales account executive and Anna Petersen as their community relations coordinator.

Szczepanski graduated last April with a degree in business administration from Adrian College, where she also pitched on the softball team for two years. Prior to joining the Griffins, the Canton, Mich., native worked at Hickory Creek Golf Course in Ypsilanti. Szczepanski is responsible for selling and maintaining season ticket accounts in her new role.

Petersen recently completed an eight-month internship with the West Michigan Whitecaps, assisting the team in its ticket sales efforts and game-night functions. Hailing from Watertown, S.D., Petersen earned a consumer affairs degree from South Dakota State University in 2007 and also worked as a college financial rep for Northwestern Mutual. She will be responsible for coordinating the Griffins' community appearance and programs.
