Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today that defenseman Rhett Warrener has been placed on Long Term Injury status.

Warrener missed three games during the preseason due to an injury sustained on September 26th. This injury, combined with extensive damage from previous seasons, has made it impossible for Warrener to start the regular season.

Flames forward Dustin Boyd has been recalled from the Quad City Flames (AHL).

The Quad City Flames regular season kicks off on Friday in Rockford. Game time is 7:30 p.m. The Hayman's Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show will be on 93.9 FM WYEC beginning at 7:05 p.m. The game can also be heard on qcflames.com.
