Murray Re-Assigned To HC Lugano

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have re-assigned center Brady Murray from the Monarchs to HC Lugano of the Swiss National League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Murray, 24, was assigned to Manchester on September 29 after appearing in one preseason game with the Kings. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound native of Brandon, Manitoba, made his NHL debut with the Kings last season and scored one point (a goal) while registering six penalty minutes in four regular season games. Additionally, he appeared in 58 regular season games with Manchester last season, recording 27 points (14-13=27) and 50 penalty minutes, and then closed the season by scoring one point (a goal) in four post-season games with the Monarchs. Murray was originally selected by Los Angeles in the fifth round (152nd overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The Monarchs open their eighth season on the road against the Portland Pirates at the Cumberland County Civic Center on Saturday, October 11 at 7 p.m. followed by a contest with the Lowell Devils at the Tsongas Arena on Friday, October 17 at 7 p.m. before they return to the Verizon Wireless Arena for the home opener against the Devils on Saturday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m. Catch all of the play-by-play action of Monarchs hockey with Ken Cail on the Monarchs Radio Network WGAM 900/1250 AM and at www.manchestermonarchs.com.
