Two Blazers to U-17s; Rowley 24th

KAMLOOPS, BC - Two Kamloops Blazers have been named to Under-17 Rosters for the upcoming Under-17 Hockey Challenge over the Christmas holidays.

Forward Jimmy Bubnick (Saskatoon, SK) has been chosen to play for Team West - representing Saskatchewan and Manitoba - while goaltender James Priestner (Edmonton, AB) will play for Team Pacific - representing Alberta and British Columbia.

The teams will compete in London, Ont. at the World U17 Hockey Challenge from Dec. 27 - Jan. 4. This is the unofficial world championship for this age level and the first stage for Hockey Canada to identify players for the National U18 Team and the World Junior Team.

ROWLEY RANKED 24th IN PRELIMINARY CSB's

KAMLOOPS, BC - Blazer defenseman Jordan Rowley has been ranked 24th among WHL skaters in the NHL's Central Scouting Bureau's Preliminary Rankings for the 2008 Draft.

Rowley, a 17-year-old defenseman from Edmonton, is in his second full WHL season.
