After a six goal, eight point, three game stretch Chief's forward Drayson Bowman has been named the Western Hockey League's Player of the Week. Bowman led the Chiefs to a 3-0 record and was credited with the game winner in all three games.

The week started last Tuesday night when he recorded his first career hat-trick and added an assist for his third four point night of the season in a 4-1 win over Prince George. Friday, Bowman scored two more goals helping Spokane to a 4-2 win over the visiting Regina Pats. The 18-year-old completed his week with a 5-1 win on Saturday against Prince George by scoring once and adding an assist.

Bowman leads the Chiefs in scoring with 18 goals, fourth in the league, and 34 points, tied for third in the league. His six game winners are tops in the WHL and just four off the franchise's single season record. Carolina's third round pick has also scored eight power play goals, fourth in the WHL.

In his third season in the WHL, Bowman has played 160 games, scored 59 goals and 111 points.

Bowman and the Chiefs will play twice this week, Wednesday night against the Chilliwack Bruins, the second place team in the B.C. Division, and a Saturday trip to Kennewick versus the Tri-City Americans.

Tickets to all home games are available by calling the Chiefs office at (509) 535-PUCK or TicketsWest at (800) 325-SEAT.
