Trenton ends three-game skid

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans snapped their three-game losing streak with a 4-1 victory over the Toledo Storm Saturday night at the Sovereign Bank Arena.

Peter Zingoni opened scoring early in the game for Trenton, with his second goal of the season at 2:13 in the first period. Toledo would respond late in the frame, as Chris Blight scored shorthanded with 7.3 seconds remaining to tie the score 1-1 heading into the second intermission.

The Titans kept the offense going in the second, as Jim Henkel hit newcomer Jason Norrie with a breakaway pass for his first marker as a Titan at coming at 10:57 of the stanza. Defenseman Mike Jarmuth notched his first of the season as well, a shorthanded tally, when he worked a give-and-go with Aaron Gill to make the score 3-1 with fifty-one seconds left in the period.

Scott Selig capped off a night of firsts scoring with 2:24 to play in the third, for his first goal in a Titans jersey.

Scott Stirling raised his record to 3-2-1 with his 27-save performance. Storm goaltender Drew MacIntyre suffered his first regulation loss of the year as he stopped 32 of 36 shots.

The Titans finished 0-for-3 on the power play and 5-for-5 on the penalty kill.
