Travs Come Up Short In Friday Game

North Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Travelers offense was once again limited in a 3-1 defeat to the Amarillo Sod Poodles on Friday night. Shawn Semple threw a quality start of six innings and just two earned runs for Arkansas but was the hard luck losing pitcher. 20-year-old Yu-Min Lin threw six innings of his own allowing just one run on the way to earning the victory. Raffi Vizcaino worked the final two innings and collected his third save.

Moments That Mattered

* A.J. Vukovich hit an opposite field two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Amarillo up three.

* Down two, Arkansas could not capitalize on a leadoff double in the eighth and the opportunity to cut into the Sod Poodles' lead.

* RHP Shawn Semple: L, 6 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, BB, 4 K, HR

* Clase stole his 54th base which leads the Texas League.
