Springfield, MO - A crowd of 7,942 baseball fans, the largest crowd at Hammons Field since a Yadier Molina MLB Rehab Assignment on June 2, 2018, witnessed the Cardinals (34-28, 68-63) reclaim their spot in first place of the Texas League North Division with an 8-3 victory over the Drillers (22-40, 63-68) Saturday night at Hammons Field. The Cardinals have won a season-best seven straight games and have a one-game lead over Wichita in the Texas League North.

W: RHP Connor Lunn (7-6)

L: RHP Ben Casparius (2-7)

Notables:

Victor Scott II swiped his 90th base of the season tonight, his 40th in Double-A, second-most in ALL of professional baseball -- MiLB and MLB combined. Scott went 3-for-5 with one RBI

Mike Antico stole his 52 base of the season tonight, further adding on to his all-time AND single-season SB record for the Cardinals.

RHP Connor Lunn recorded another QS for the Cardinals, with a final line of 5.2 IP / 4 H / 2 ER / 0 BB / 7 SO

Aaron Antonini and Jacob Buchberger went back-to-back on home runs tonight to cap off the 5-run 4th inning for the Cardinals
