Tickets to the biggest July 4th fireworks extravaganza in Western North Carolina will go on sale this Saturday, April 21, at 10 a.m. at the McCormick Field box office.

The ever-popular baseball and fireworks double feature will begin at 7:05 p.m. on our nation's birthday when the Asheville Tourists host the Augusta Greenjackets. After the zipline, baseballs and cheers fill the air above McCormick Field, the Tourists will present their annual spectacular fireworks show, which has produced many of the largest crowds in the team's storied history.

Advance tickets are $10 and will be available at the McCormick Field box office as well as online at theashevilletourists.com. Every ticket will also have an assigned seat, regardless of the seating area of the ballpark.

"Every year our games with our holiday fireworks shows are among our biggest draws," said Tourists president Brian Dewine. "And with this year's show being on July 4th, we're expecting brisk sales, beginning on Saturday."

The Tourists return to McCormick Field on Thursday, April 19, at 7:05 p.m. to open a four-game series with the Rome Braves. For more information, contact the Tourists' front office at (828) 258-0428.
