AUGUSTA, GA. - In recognition of our local military families and the sacrifices they make to preserve our nation's freedom, E-Z-GO© and the Augusta GreenJackets have created the "Salute Our Soldiers" program to provide a night of family fun to selected military families throughout the 2012 baseball season.

For each of the GreenJackets' 70 home games at Lake Olmstead Stadium this season, E-Z-GO and the team will select a local military family to receive free box seats, as well as vouchers for free food and drink at ballpark concessionaires, and a gift certificate to the team's gift shop. E-Z-GO and the GreenJackets will work with local military officials and service organizations to identify participating families.

"As a supporter of our nation's military and an employer of many reservists and veterans, E-Z-GO values the contributions of our local soldiers to our local community and our country," said E-Z-GO President Kevin Holleran. "This program is a small way of saying thank you to those soldiers and their families for the sacrifices they continue to make so that all of us can enjoy a better way of life."

During the middle of the fifth inning of each game, the GreenJackets will invite the crowd to recognize the invited soldier and his or her family members for their dedication to protecting our nation's freedoms.

"E-Z-GO is doing a great thing with this program," said Bob Flannery, general manager of the GreenJackets. "Family time is precious to any soldier, and what a fantastic way to show appreciation than to provide a night of fun to these local military families."
