Last Week:

The Marlies dropped a pair of games against the Abbotsford Heat, AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, this past week.

In their first of two games in British Columbia, the Marlies fell to the Heat by a score of 4-3 on Saturday night. Playing in his first game since returning from the Maple Leafs, Trevor Smith tallied three assists in the loss. Spencer Abbott and Josh Leivo also added two points each. Drew MacIntyre stopped 30 of 34 shots, while the Marlies went 0-for-3 on the powerplay and 2-for-4 on the penalty kill.

The two teams squared off again on Sunday afternoon with Abbotsford earning a 6- 3 victory and extending their win streak to seven games.

Spencer Abbott recorded his sixth multi-point game of the season, notching two assists.

Abbott also extended his team leading point streak to 11 games. Garret Sparks made 23 saves in the loss, while Toronto went 1-for-3 on the powerplay and 4-for-4 on the penalty kill

Look Ahead:

The Marlies will take to the ice four times this week. Toronto travels to Cleveland on Thursday for a 7 p.m. contest against the Lake Erie Monsters, AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche. Bryan Lerg leads the Monsters with 12 points.

The Marlies return home on Saturday for a 3 p.m. game against the Charlotte Checkers, AHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes. This will mark the first meeting between the two teams in franchise history. Rookie forward Victor Rask leads all active Checkers skaters with 10 points.

The Texas Stars, AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars, will make their first trip to Toronto on Sunday for a 5 p.m. game. Colton Sceviour leads all active Stars skaters with 17 points.

In the final game of the week, Toronto and Charlotte will square off at Ricoh Coliseum on Tuesday, November 19 at 7 p.m.
