- William Nylander added an assist along with his goal, he now has four points in the first three games.

- Byron Froese has now scored in every game this season, pushing his season total to three.

- TJ Brennan recorded his first goal of the season, the game winner, in overtime. Brennan also had an assist on the game tying goal.

- Connor Brown recorded an assist on the game winning goal and was +3 leading all skaters.

NOTABLES

- Kasperi Kapanen and Ryan Rupert made their season debuts.

- The Marlies have directed 30+ shots on net in each of their first three games.

- This is the second straight game that the Marlies have gone into overtime; they are 2-0-0-0 this season.

- The Marlies were 0/3 on the power play and 4/5 on the penalty kill. This marks the first game the Marlies did not convert on the power play and the first goal given up while shorthanded.
