
Top High School Talent from PIAA Districts 5, 6 and 9 to Take Field at Blair County Ballpark

ALTOONA- The first annual S&T Bank Altoona Curve High School All-Star Classic is set for this Sunday at Blair County Ballpark, home of the Altoona Curve. The game, which will feature 30 of the top baseball players from PIAA Districts 5, 6 and 9, will be held at 2 p.m., preceding Sunday's 6:05 p.m. Curve game against the Bowie Baysox (AA/Baltimore Orioles).
The format for the game will be North vs. South with 15 players on each team. The Northern All-Star squad will feature players from District 9 schools and District 6 schools in Clearfield, Centre and Clinton counties. The South All-Stars will represent District 5 and District 6 schools in Blair, Cambria, Huntingdon, Indiana and Mifflin Counties.
Only graduating senior players who were nominated by their coach or athletic director were eligible for selection. Below are the All-Star selections, as voted upon by a committee of area media representatives, athletic directors, coaches and school administrators:

Special presentations will be made to all S&T Bank Curve High School All-Stars prior to Sunday's 6:05 p.m. game against the Bowie Baysox (AA/Baltimore Orioles). The presentation of the game's Most Valuable Player Award will be made during the Curve game.
Ballpark gates will open at 1:30 p.m. for the June 22nd S&T Bank Curve High School All-Star Classic and a ticket to that evening's 6:05 p.m. Curve game against the Bowie Baysox will gain fans admittance to both events.
