ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...
Tonight, the SeaWolves continue their 10-game road trip as they play in the middle game of a three-game set against the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) at NYSEG Stadium. The B-Mets thumped the 'Wolves in the series opener on Tuesday 10-1. The loss dropped Erie's record in games following an off day to 1-6. The loss also ended a two-game win streak. Erie needs to pick up wins in each of the next two games to keep in tact their consecutive series victory streak which stands at three straight. The 'Wolves have dropped the last three straight and five of their last six series openers. The club's record in series openers is now 5-17...The B-Mets have won seven of their last 10 and sit in third place in the Northern Division, five games behind first place Trenton. With last night's win, Binghamton is just a half-game out of second place in the North...Righty Josh Rainwater takes the mound for the 'Wolves, making his 11th appearance and 10th start of the season. Rainwater is 3-0 in his last three starts since coming off the disabled list. He shutout Portland for 6.2 innings in his last start allowing just four hits with a walk while tying a season-high with six strikeouts. It was the first start where Rainwater did not allow a run...Righty Salvador Aguilar takes the mound for the B-Mets, making his 18th appearance and eighth start of the season. Aguilar has won three straight is 6-1 in his last seven starts. He tossed seven shutout innings allowing two hits in his last outing against Harrisburg with four walks and six strikeouts.
