Toledo, OH-- The last of eight meetings between the Toledo Walleye and the Florida Everblades went to Toledo.The Walleye jumped to an early three goal lead in the first period. Barry Brust relieved Mike Morrison and held Toledo to zero points in the final two periods. Florida attempted a comback and scored 2 goals from Colin Nicholson and Jordan Morrison, but it wasn't enough and the Everblades fell 3-2.

Toledo opened the scoring with a short-handed goal from Adam Hobson.

Maxime Tanguay who assisted on the first goal, added another marker to increase the Walleye's lead to 2. The remainder of the period was scoreless.

The momentum stayed with the Walleye at the start of the second stanza.

Chris Robertson put one past goalie Mike Morrison, prompting coach Malcolm Cameron to substitute goalies and Barry Brust took charge of the net. Toledo and the 'Blades exchanged penalties, but neither team scored and the period ended 3-0 Toledo.

The 'Blades avoided a shut out at 12:23 when Colin Nicholson recorded his third goal of the season; Ernie Hartlieb was credited with the assist. Florida made it a one goal game when Jordan Morrison scored another goal with assists from Ross Carlson and Dylan Stanley. Barry Brust and the Everblades defense held Toledo to 0 goals in the final two periods, but it was too little too late and Toledo prevailed 3-2.
