Titans Nip Bullies 3-2 In A Shootout

Atlantic City, NJ – Robert Liscak tallied the game-winning goal in the third round of the shootout and Chris Houle stopped 4 of 5 Bullies shooters as the Trenton Titans defeated the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies 3-2 in a shootout before 4416 at Boardwalk Hall in ECHL action Saturday.

After a scoreless first period, Trenton (28-20-6) jumped on the board with a Tyler Kindle goal at 15:19 of the second. It took the Bullies (38-13-5) just 1:44 seconds to net the equalizer as Sam Paolini fired a low wrist shot by Houle at 17:03 to tie the score 1-1. Chris Pittman broke the tie taking a feed across the crease from Scott Bertoli and sliding it past Bullies goaltender Scott Stirling at 12:54 of the third to give the Titans a 2-1 advantage. Josh Prudden potted his second game-tying goal in as many nights when he stuffed home Jon Cullen's rebound in front of the net at 15:06 to tie the score 2-2 and send it to overtime. With the assist, Cullen extended his current ECHL-leading scoring streak to 13 games.

Trenton out-shot the Bullies 32-22. Stirling stopped 30 shots in the shootout loss. The Bullies went 0-7 with the power play.

Atlantic City returns to action on Saturday when the Bullies travel to Johnstown to battle the Chiefs.
