Chiefs Win 6-5 In A Shootout

Johnstown, PA- The Johnstown Chiefs came back from a three goal third period deficit to defeat the visiting Toledo Storm 6-5, in a shootout, Saturday night at the War Memorial Arena.

Shawn Mather scored two goals for the Chiefs in the contest. Ian Manzano, Steve Hildenbrand and Dominic Forget also scored for the Chiefs, who with the win are now unbeaten in nine straight home games (7-0-2). Toledo got a pair of goals from Marco Charpentier and tallies from Paul Ballantyne, Nick Parillo and Jim Abbott.

The Chiefs won the shootout by a 3-2 score. Chiefs goaltender David Currie made 19 saves in the contest. Storm goaltender Jimi St. John made 48 saves. The Chiefs improve to 32-17-6, while Toledo is now 21-27-7.

The Chiefs are back in action tomorrow afternoon at the War Memorial when they face the Trenton Titans at 2:30 p.m... Following the game, there will be a "Skate with the Chiefs."
