Express trades with Trenton to get d-man

ROANOKE, VA – Roanoke Express Head Coach Tony MacAulay announced today that the team has made a trade with the Trenton Titans to get defenseman Shaun Fisher. Fisher will join the Express in time for this weekend's game with the Dayton Bombers. In return, the Titans get future considerations from the Express.

Fisher, a 24-year-old native of Detroit, MI, joins his third team in 2003-2004. Most recently with the Titans, Fisher notched one assist in 10 games. Prior to joining the Titans, he scored eight points (2g, 6a) in 25 games with the Texas Wildcatters, also of the ECHL. In 2002-2003, Fisher skated with three teams (Florida, Greenville and Trenton), compiling a total of 18 points in 54 games. Fisher made his professional debut with the Florida Everblades in 2001-2002, when he skated in 66 games with the ‘Blades, collecting 25 points.

Roanoke returns home to the Roanoke Civic Center on February 28 & 29 when it hosts the Dayton Bombers on both nights. Game time on Saturday is 7:30 p.m., and Sunday is a 4:00 p.m. start.
