November 7, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL)
Trenton Devils News Release

Trenton, NJ - The Trenton Titans returned home to Sovereign Bank Arena for the back end of the weekend home and home series against the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. The Titans carried momentum from last night's into the first period of tonight's match-up, dominating the first twenty minutes of play. Despite outshooting the Bullies 14-7, the Titans found themselves down 1-0 after one on a power play goal by Stefan Rivard at 8:26.

The Titans would come roaring back during a penalty-riddled second period. At 2:21 Bryce Coburn took a backhand centering pass from Mathieu Brunelle and shoveled it past Jake Moreland to tie the score 1-1. Just 1:43 later, Marty Johnston put the Titan's up 2-1, as he one-timed Joe Rybar's feed from the face-off over Moreland's shoulder. Then the referee's whistle took over as both teams were called for a combined 64 penalty mintues during the second frame.

Antoine Bergeron would add an insurance goal on the power play at 17:54 of the second period, ripping a slapshot that deflected off of Moreland and trickled across the goal line making it 3-1 Titans. The goal was the Bergeron's first of the season and his first as a Titan. Andrew Allen made 28 of 29 saves for the victory, his fifth in the last six games.

The Titans take on the Johnstown Chiefs on Saturday, November 8 at 7:00pm. The first 2000 fans will receive pompoms courtesy of the Trentonian. For ticket information, call a Titans Sales Representative at 609.599.9500.
