Chiefs Pick Up Win Over Toledo

Johnstown, PA- The Johnstown Chiefs picked up their second win in a row Friday night with a 4-1 win over the visiting Toledo Storm.

Jason Notermann led the Chiefs with a goal and two assists. Jay Langager and Brent Kelly each had a goal and an assist. Shawn Mather also scored for the Chiefs. Toledo's lone goal came from Scott Horvath in the 3rd period.

Chiefs goaltender Arturs Irbe improved his record to 5-0-0 making 16 saves. Storm goaltender Doug Teskey made 31 saves in the defeat.

The Chiefs were 2 for 6 on the power play while Toledo was 0 for 4.

The Chiefs will take to the road for a pair of games this weekend beginning tomorrow night when they visit the Trenton Titans at 7:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., the Chiefs make their way to the Jersey shore when they visit the defending Kelly Cup champion Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. Next Friday night, the Chiefs return to home ice when they take on the Wheeling Nailers at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are still available at the War Memorial box office, or by calling (814) 536-5156 or 1-800-CHF-TIXX.
