Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release
The TinCaps are back at Parkview Field tonight for the start of a three-game series with the Bowling Green Hot Rods. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 with Adys Portillo on the mound for the TinCaps and Parker Markel tossing for the Hot Rods.
The TinCaps also announced the following roster moves today:
RHP Johnny Barbato reinstated from the disabled list. Barbato, 19, had been on the disabled list since May 5. The righthander is 3-0 with a 1.26 ERA in 9 games out of the bullpen this season. Barbato will once again wear #26.
RHP Yordany Ramirez transferred from Fort Wayne to extended spring training. Ramirez, 27, was 0-0 with a 5.06 ERA in 3 appearances out of the TinCaps bullpen.
OF Kyung-Min Na transferred from Fort Wayne to extended spring training. Na, 20, hit .115 (6-52) with no home runs and five runs batted in during his 15-game stint with the TinCaps.
OF Yeison Asencio transferred from extended spring training to Fort Wayne. He will wear #12. Asencio, 22, was signed as a non-drafted free agent on July 2, 2009 by the Padres. He spent the 2011 season with the AZL Padres, hitting .348 with 7 home runs and 46 RBI in 50 games. Following the season, Baseball America named him the number one prospect in the Rookie-level Arizona league.
