Dayton Dragons News Release
Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Great Lakes Loons (affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers) in the first game of a three-game series. Season Series: This is the first meeting of 2012 between the Dragons and Loons.
Last Game: Dayton defeated Bowling Green 3-2 on Friday night to salvage a win in the three-game series. The Dragons took advantage of four errors by the Hot Rods including a costly throwing error in the seventh that allowed the tying and go-ahead runs to score. Dayton starting pitcher Dan Jensen earned the win, working six innings and allowing two runs on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts. Carlos Contreras worked two perfect innings after Jensen and Kyle McMyne tossed a scoreless ninth for his first save. Dayton had 7 hits. Ryan Wright was 2 for 5. Juan Silva walked three times.
Individual Notes
* Steve Selsky is batting .313 over his last 22 games (25 for 80), raising his average from .220 to .277.
