ABOUT MONDAY: Fort Wayne's three-game winning streak came to an end with a 7-2 loss in the finale of their four-game series at Parkview Field against the West Michigan Whitecaps. Trae Santos hit a solo home run for the TinCaps while Felipe Blanco provided an RBI-double and Miguel Del Castillo collected two hits.

BREATHER: Tuesday was the first scheduled day off for the TinCaps since May 10. From April 28-June 1, Fort Wayne played 36 games in 35 days.
GETTING HOT: The TinCaps are 9-5 since May 21. That's the highest win total in the Midwest League Eastern Division over that time and second to only Cedar Rapids (10) in the 16-team league.
BULLPEN IMPROVEMENT: Fort Wayne's bullpen hasn't allowed a run over the last four games, or 18 2/3 innings. It's their longest scoreless streak of the season.
INTERDIVISION PLAY: Wednesday begins interdivision play in the MWL. Fort Wayne's next 12 games are scheduled against Western Division opponents. The TinCaps will have 12 more games against the West in the second half of the season.
ABOUT BELOIT: The Snappers are currently the MWL affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. The club joined the league as the Beloit Brewers (with whom they were affiliated at the time) in 1982 and maintained that moniker through '94. Beloit switched its affiliation from Milwaukee to Minnesota in 2005. The Snappers were partners with the Twins from '05-'12 and have been with the A's for three years now. Pohlman Field opened the same year Beloit joined the league, 1982. The venue seats 3,501 fans.
