Fort Wayne TinCaps (14-10, 46-46) @ Dayton Dragons (12-12, 51-43)
LHP Thomas Dorminy (7-6, 3.90) vs. RHP Tyler Mahle (9-5, 2.71)
Monday, July 20, 2015 - Fifth Third Field (Dayton, OH) - First Pitch 7:00 p.m. - Game 93
LISTEN: ESPN Radio 1380 (WKJG) / TinCaps.com / TuneIn Radio App
ABOUT LAST GAME: In a game that was delayed 1 hour and 4 minutes at the start by rain, the TinCaps lost to the Dragons, 5-4. Dayton raced out to a 5-0 lead with a run in the first, two in the third, and two more in the fourth. Fort Wayne finally came to life in the seventh with a four-run outburst, but it wasn't enough.
ROSTER MOVE: The Padres transferred left-hander reliever Brandon Fry from Fort Wayne to Short-Season A Tri-City on Sunday. Fry was 1-2 with a 7.40 ERA and a save in 15 appearances. In 24.1 IP, he gave up 31 hits and 10 walks, while striking out 16. The TinCaps are currently carrying 24 players - 1 below the league maximum.
LATINO LINEUP: All 10 TinCaps who started Sunday's game were Latinos. It was the first time that happened this season under manager Francisco Morales, who himself is from the Dominican Republic. Seven starters also hailed from the Dominican, while second baseman Luis Urias is from Mexico and catcher Jose Ruiz is from Venezuela.
A TINCAPS WIN WOULD: Salvage this three-game series and avoid being swept for the first time since May 11-14 against Lake County at Parkview Field... Prevent losing three consecutive games for the first time since Fort Wayne dropped five in a row from May 11-15... Give them a .500 record at Dayton this season (currently 3-4) - this is their last regular season game here.
