
Keaton Steele activated from 7-day DL Will start today at Quad Cities

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce that RHP Keaton Steele has been activated from the 7-day disabled list. Brad Steil, Director of Minor League Operations for the Twins, announced the move.
Steele went on the DL back on June 29th with a right shoulder impingement. He was selected by the Twins in the 8th round of the 2014 First Year Player Draft and has made seven appearances (six starts) for the Kernels this season with a 2-2 record and 3.46 ERA. In 41.2 IP, he's allowed 38 hits and 19 runs (16 earned) with 32 strikeouts and 12 walks.
Steele is scheduled to be the starting pitcher for today's 1:00 PM game at Quad Cities. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster is at the Midwest League maximum of 25 active players, with 9 players currently on the DL.
The Kernels are in the midst of a three game commuter series at Quad Cities and return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Tuesday, July 21st to open a six game home series with Wisconsin and Beloit.
