Head Groundskeeper Keith Winter was named the Single-A Sports Turf Manager of the Year. The TinCaps received MiLB's Community Service Award. Even "SNL Night" was tabbed as a Top 5 MiLB Theme Night. Meanwhile, the team averaged a record 5,971 fans per game and topped 400K total.

NEW BUT FAMILIAR: With last year's TinCaps skipper Francisco Morales now leading the Padres' Advanced-A affiliate, the Lake Elsinore Storm, Anthony Contreras is the 18th manager in Fort Wayne franchise history. NEW BUT FAMILIAR (PART 2): In 2015, Contreras managed SD's Short Season-A club, the Tri-City Dust Devils, to a 42-34 record, a division title, and a trip to the Northwest League Finals. In 2014, Contreras managed the Peoria Padres of the Arizona League. Over those 2 seasons, he managed 16 players on Opening Day roster.
