Fort Wayne TinCaps (22-27, 52-66 ) @ Lansing Lugnuts (21-28, 53-65)

RHP Ronald Herrera (5-7, 3.82) vs. RHP Starlyn Suriel (1-1, 2.12)

Tuesday, August 12, 2014 - Lansing, Mich. - First Pitch 7:05 p.m. - Game 119/139

All 140 games air live on ESPN Radio 1380 (WKJG). All 70 home games are televised live on Comcast XFINITY Channel 81.

About Last Game: For the third time in four days against Lake County, the TinCaps dug themselves a massive hole. On Thursday, Fort Wayne somehow overcame an eight-run deficit to win. But Sunday was a more similar script to Friday, as the TinCaps rallied but eventually lost to the Captains, 12-6, in front of 6,953 fans at Parkview Field.

A TinCaps Win Would : End a three-game losing skid... Be a chance to gain ground on at least one team ahead of them in the playoff race, as two teams currently in front of the TinCaps - Lake County and Dayton - play each other. (Also of interest: Great Lakes hosts Bowling Green.) See the Standings below for more.

Apropos of Willie Nelson : The TinCaps are on the road again for the first time in more than a week. Fort Wayne is coming off a 3-4 homestand that saw the Summit City squad win two of three games against Lansing - the TinCaps' fifth consecutive series victory - before dropping three of four against Lake County. On the season, Fort Wayne is 21-39 on the road. However, the club is 8-4 in its last 12 away games, including taking two of three at West Michigan most recently August 1-3.

Homestretch : Monday's off day was Fort Wayne's final scheduled one of the season. Beginning Tuesday, the TinCaps are slated to play 21 games in 21 days, with the season ending September 1, Labor Day, at Bowling Green.

Turner Drives : Trea Turner had his 15th multi-hit game as a TinCap Sunday against Lake County. Turner collected three hits - the seventh time in 26 games he ha done that - including a home run, which was his third in a Fort Wayne uniform and fourth since July 9 (when he was with Eugene).

Rematch : Tonight's pitching matchup is a repeat of the last Wednesday's game at Parkview Field between the TinCaps and Lugnuts. Ronald Herrera pitched pretty well for five innings, but Starlyn Suriel pitched sensationally for six. Herrera conceded only one earned run on five hits and one walk, while Suriel - in only his third start in the Midwest League - allowed only one base runner. Jake Bauers with a fifth-inning single was the only TinCap to reach against the 20-year old. Lansing won the game, 7-0.

Streakin : Fernando Perez has a hit in eight consecutive games.
