
Tyler Marincov Named Midwest League Player of the Month

Beloit Snappers OF Tyler Marincov was named the Midwest League Player of the Month by Minor League Baseball for his efforts in July. Marincov will receive an award from MiLB and a congratulatory letter from Minor League Baseball President & CEO Pat O'Conner.
The Orlando, Fla. native led the Midwest League in slugging percentage (.783), extra-base hits (20) and doubles (12) in July. Marincov also tallied six home runs and 21 RBI's in the month, both third best in the MWL, and his batting average (.373) and total bases (65) ranked second.
Marincov was selected in the eighth round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of North Florida.
After being drafted in 2013, Marincov joined the Vermont Lake Monsters, the Oakland Athletics' Short-Season A affiliate. Marincov batted .215 with three home runs and 20 RBI's in 62 games with the Lake Monsters before joining the Snappers for the 2014 season.
Marincov and the Snappers return to action Tuesday night as they take on the Cedar Rapids Kernels at 7:00 p.m. at Pohlman Field.
