Medicine Hat, AB - Medicine Hat Tigers announce they have completed a trade this afternoon with the Everett Silvertips.
The Tigers send 18-year-old forward RYAN HARRISON and a second round pick in the 2011 bantam draft to Everett in exchange for 19-year-old forward KELLAN TOCHKIN and 18-year-old defenceman ALEX THERIAU.
Harrison was acquired by the Tigers at the beginning of this season from the Prince Albert Raiders. He put up 33 points on 13 goals and 20 assists for 33 points in 40 games so far this season.
"We have been trying to obtain Alex Theriau for the past couple of months," said Tigers' general manager. "He is a good player I know from the past and feel he will be a good fit with our group here in The Hat."
"We moved a real good player in Ryan Harrison to Everett. Kellan is a proven offensive player in this league and has had two good years with Everett. He will fit in with our skill and pace to our game and will be a real good addition to our line up," stated McEwen.
"Ryan contributed to the success of our club since his arrive and we want to thank him for his time in Medicine Hat. We wish Ryan and his family all the best in the future," said McEwen.
The Tigers embark on a three game road trip into the BC division which starts on Wednesday night in Kamloops. The team will play three games in four nights with additional games in Vancouver on Friday before finishing the trip on Saturday in Kelowna.
