ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 27-12-1-2 record (14-4-1-1 at home, 13-8-0-1 on the road, 0-1 in overtime, 3-2 in shootouts) and in second place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE and tied for second in the WHLKOOTENAY was ranked ninth in the BMO CHL MASTERCARD TOP 10 RANKINGS for the week of January 3The ICE will play three of their next five games at home.
DINNER AND A GAME: The KOOTENAY ICE along with COYOTE JACK'S GRILL have announced that fans can now purchase a restaurant seat and a meal for $25.00 for any remaining regular season home gameThe meal will be off of a special COYOTE JACK'S GRILL menu that includes burgers, sandwiches, nachos and moreLimited seating is available and tickets can be purchased at the KOOTENAY ICE OFFICE.
ROCKSTAR OUTDOOR HOCKEY CLASSIC: Tickets are still available for the ROCKSTAR OUTDOOR HOCKEY CLASSIC in SPOKANE this SaturdayFans can get their tickets to cheer on the ICE by calling 509-535-7825The game will be held at the AVISTA STADIUM at 2:00 pm (MST).

INJURY / TRANSACTION: STEELE BOOMER will be out of the KOOTENAY line up day to day with a hip injuryThe ICE have acquired 19-year-old Forward CODY EAKIN in exchange for 18-year-old Forward CHRISTIAN MAGNUS and prospects RYAN BLOOM (1993 Forward - Drumheller Dragons - AJHL), JARETT ZENTNER (1993 Forward - Calgary Mustangs - AJHL), COLBY CAVE (1994 Forward - Battleford Stars - SMAAAHL) and STEVEN MYLAND (1994 Goaltender - Valley West Hawks - BCMMHL) along with a first and second round draft pick in the 2011 WHL BANTAM DRAFT and a third round pick in the 2012 WHL BANTAM DRAFT.
