
Tiger-Cats Add Pair to Practice Roster

Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that import defensive back John Bowie and import defensive lineman Monte Lewis have signed practice roster agreements with the team.
Bowie, a 5-11, 185-pound native of Columbus, Ohio, joins the Tiger-Cats after previously suiting up with the NFL's Oakland Raiders, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals. Bowie was selected by the Raiders in the fourth round (110th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft after registering 44 tackles and two interceptions at Cincinnati.
Lewis, a 6-3, 241-pound native of Abbeville, Alabama, recorded 90 tackles, 28 tackles for a loss, eight quarterback sacks, four forced fumbles and three blocked kicks four seasons at Jacksonville State. He attended training camp with the Washington Redskins earlier this year.
