
Riders Add Five to Practice Roster

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today the signing of five players. Non-import linebacker Aaron Crawford, non-import offensive lineman John Hashem, import receiver Philip Livas, import defensive back Ramzee Robinson, and import defensive lineman Kenny Rowe have all been added to the team's practice roster. Financial details of the agreements were not released.
Crawford (6'4" - 260) was originally drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the 6th round (40th overall) of the 2012 Canadian Draft. The Medicine Hat, AB native played his collegiate career in the CIS with the Saint Mary's Huskies where he finished his senior season with 33 tackles.
Hashem (6'7" - 305) was originally drafted in the 3rd round (24th overall) by the Calgary Stampeders in the 2009 CFL Draft. The Regina product spent 2011 with the Montreal Alouettes and 2010 with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Livas (5'7 - 180) played in the UFL with the Omaha Nighthawks during the 2011 season. The 23-year-old Louisiana native then joined the Baltimore Ravens practice squad following the conclusion of the UFL season. The Louisiana Tech product originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins and had a 75 yard punt-return touchdown in a 2011 pre-season game.
Robinson (5'10" - 190) spent time with Denver, Cleveland, Washington and Philadelphia throughout his NFL tenure after he was originally drafted by the Detroit Lions in the 7th round (255th overall) of the 2007 Draft. The Alabama graduate appeared in 26 NFL regular season games recording 36 tackles, one pass knock down and one fumble recovery.
Rowe (6'2" - 244) re-joins the Riders after attending 2012 training camp. He most recently spent time on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad. In 2011, the University of Oregon product appeared in five games with the green and white registering ten tackles, one quarterback sack and one pass knockdown.
