Thursday's River Cats Game Postponed Due to Heavy Rain

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Thursday night's Sacramento River Cats game in Colorado Springs against the Sky Sox has been postponed due to heavy rain in the area. As a result, a doubleheader has been scheduled for 3 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

Both ends of Friday's doubleheader will last seven innings. River Cats righty Arnold Leon (4-3, 4.07 ERA) will start opposite Sky Sox right-hander Armando Galarraga (0-2, 6.75 ERA) in game one, while right Cory Riordan (4-4, 5.80 ERA) will start game two for Colorado Springs against a River Cats starter who is to be determined.

The River Cats are back at Raley Field at 7:05 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, for their final home series of the regular season. They take on the Fresno Grizzlies for the Highway 99 Showdown in a four-game series that ends with Fan Appreciation Day on Aug. 29.
