
Thunderbirds Sign F Matt Marcinew to PTO

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Springfield Thunderbirds announced on Saturday that they have signed forward Matt Marcinew to a PTO.
Marcinew, 25, is in his second professional season following a four-year collegiate career at the University of Denver, where he won a national championship in 2017 as a teammate of current Florida Panther Henrik Borgstrom. He made his AHL debut last season, appearing in a single game with the Ontario Reign.
In 77 career ECHL games with the Manchester Monarchs, Marcinew has scored 19 goals and added 38 assists while posting a +12 rating. He has eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points in just 25 games played this season.
