
Thunderbirds Sign E. Longmeadow Native Peter Crinella

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Springfield Thunderbirds announced today that they have signed forward Peter Crinella to a professional tryout.
A native of nearby East Longmeadow, Mass., the 25-year-old Crinella is in his third professional season following a four-year collegiate career at Holy Cross College. Through 26 ECHL games this season with the Wichita Thunder, Crinella is tied for sixth in the league with 13 goals to go along with 11 assists. Should he draw into the Thunderbirds lineup, he would be making his AHL debut.
Prior to his college career, Crinella starred for Springfield Cathedral High, where he scored 70 goals and 133 points in 72 high school games, including 31 goals and 59 points during a 25-game season in 2013-14.
Crinella and the Thunderbirds are back on the ice on Saturday, January 1 for a 2:05 p.m. matinee start against the Rochester Americans inside the MassMutual Center.
