Thunder Receive Christian From Scranton; Romine, Noesi Ruled Temporarily Inactive

(TRENTON, NJ) The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees announced today that they have received OF Justin Christian from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and have placed C Austin Romine and RHP Hector Noesi on TIA (temporary inactive).

Romine and Noesi are unavailable due to their participation in Sunday's All-Star Futures Game.

Christian, 30, started 2010 with the Thunder, where he hit .255 with 2 HR and 26 RBI in 37 games. He was promoted to Scranton, where he was hitting .242 in 16 games for the SWB Yankees. Christian currently ranks second on the all-time stolen base list with the Thunder.

The Thunder play the third game of their four game series against the BaySox tonight in Bowie at 6:05 PM. LHP Wilkin de la Rosa makes the start for the Thunder, while Bowie goes with RHP Ryohei Tanaka. All the action can be heard live on 107.7 FM or online at www.trentonthunder.com
