TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Altoona Curve will meet in game three of a four-game series...Matt Hague's two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning provided all of the offense for the Curve in a 2-1 win over the Flying Squirrels on Saturday night at Blair County Ballpark.

TONIGHT'S STARTERS: Left-hander Clayton Tanner gets the start in game three of the series for the Flying Squirrels...Suffered the loss in his last start at Harrisburg 7/6...Allowed three runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings...Struck out two batters and walked one...Gave up two runs on four hits and issued his lone walk in the bottom of the third inning...Threw 28 pitches in the inning...Recorded 11 ground outs and six fly outs...Threw 82 pitches, 51 strikes...Went six innings or more for the seventh consecutive start...Had previously gone six innings or more just once in his first nine outings...Has allowed 21 runs, 17 earned, on 42 hits over 52 1/3 innings in his last eight starts since coming off of the DL 5/30 (2.92 ERA)...Left-handed batters are hitting .209 against him (14-for-67)...Is 0-3 with a 4.12 ERA in four starts against Altoona...Has allowed 14 runs, nine earned, on 21 hits in 19 2/3 innings against the Curve with 13 walks and 10 strikeouts.

Left-hander Justin Wilson gets the nod in game three of the series for the Curve...Earned the win in his last outing in relief of Zach Duke 7/5 against Binghamton...Outing was his first relief appearance of the season...Tossed five scoreless innings giving up just four hits...Struck out three batters and walked one...Has not lost since 5/18 against Akron...Is 6-0 over his last nine outings with a 2.06 ERA...Has allowed three runs or fewer in 13 of his 16 outings this season...Ranks third in the Eastern League in batting average against (.208), is fifth in ERA (2.71) and is eighth in strike outs (79)...Is 1-0 with a 2.31 ERA in two starts against Richmond...Has allowed three runs on nine hits in 11 2/3 innings against the Flying Squirrels...Went 6-8 with a 4.50 ERA in 26 starts with Advanced-A Lynchburg in 2009...Struck out 94 and walked 55 in 116 innings of work... Allowed 118 hits (.262 OBA) including 14 home runs...Won Carolina League Championship...Selected by Pittsburgh in the fifth round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft...Attended Fresno State University...Won the 2008 College World Series.

NUT AND NAIL: Eleven of the 16 meetings between Richmond and Altoona have been decided by three runs or less including five games decided by a lone run...The Flying Squirrels are just 5-11 against the Curve this season...Following tonight's meeting, the two clubs will play one another nine more times...Overall on the season, Richmond is 30-31 in game decided by three runs or less and is 14-18 in one-run games.

TIME FLYS: Last night's contest between Richmond and Altoona lasted just 2:08...It was the shortest nine-inning game of the season for the Flying Squirrels...Previously, the quickest nine-inning game lasted just 2:13 6/8 against New Britain.

TORTOISE AND THE HARE: The Flying Squirrels have won seven of the last eight series openers but are just 4-13 following their series-opening wins...Overall on the season, the club is 19-8 in series openers...The club is 2-5 over its last seven series with both series victories coming against the Erie SeaWolves.

TAKING THE BELT-WAY: First baseman Brandon Belt went 1-for-4 last night with his third Double-A home run to extend his hit streak to seven games...Over the last seven contests, the 22-year-old is 12-for-28 (.429) with three home runs, four RBI, and five runs scored...In 85 games combined between Advanced-A San Jose and Double-A Richmond, Belt leads all of minor league baseball in batting average (.383) and on-base percentage (.488) and is tied for third in hits (115) and ranks fifth in slugging percentage (.637).

STORMY SKY-LER: Super utility man Skyler Stromsmoe is just 1-for-13 (.077) over his last four games with five strikeouts and no walks...The 26-year-old is 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position over that span and is hitting just .162 (6-for-37) with runners in scoring position on the season.

DOUBLETREE DOWNTOWN DOUBLE PLAYS: The Richmond Flying Squirrels have turned 115 double plays in 89 games including six on 5/7 in Harrisburg...The club leads the Eastern League in double plays turned and has not gone more than two games without turning a double play...Richmond has not turned a double yet through the first two games of the series with Altoona.

CFS STAT OF THE NIGHT: The Flying Squirrels lost for just the third time in 19 games when having a starter go seven innings or more.
